Performance artist, musician, writer, film maker, actor and Dj;
Dj StereOtype debut mixtape “My Life In StereO…” is a musical
mixture of genres, ideals, emotions, and experiences.
Born in Atlanta, GA to a single mother and raised on an eclectic
mixture of pop culture, Dj StereOtype is influenced by a multitude of both sonic and visual art.
Growing up on everything from the sounds of Stevie Wonder,
Donna Summer, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke,
Teena Marie, and Chaka Khan, to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers,
Arrested Development, Brandy, Cee Lo, Outkast, Aaliyah,
Queen Latifah, George Michael, Erykah Badu, Roy Ayers, No Doubt,
Billy Joel, Amy Winehouse, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston,
Destiny’s Child/Beyonce, TLC, Janet Jackson, Carole King, Jill Scott,
Mariah Carey, Madonna, Aerosmith, Common, Bilal, Rick James,
Alanis Morrisette, Prince, Aretha Franklin, Nikka Costa, and Al Green…
A passion for soul, love, truth, and artistic expression was born and still lives to this day.

His Dark Materials was formed in 2008 after Alex Kehayias added additional band members to his solo project in NYC. All band members are home town friends from Long Island and now live in and around the NYC area.
